Troubleshooting
The installer downloads a file
Your userscript manager did not claim the .user.js file. Confirm that Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey is installed and enabled, then open the userscript installer again.
If it still downloads, follow the manual installation video.
Learnable Meta does not appear in GeoGuessr
Try these checks in order:
- Open GeoGuessr in a completely new tab or restart the browser.
- Confirm that the Learnable Meta script is installed and enabled in your userscript manager.
- On Chrome or another Chromium browser, enable Developer mode and Tampermonkey’s Allow User Scripts setting.
- Make sure you are using a browser, not the GeoGuessr mobile app.
- Open a map from the Learnable Meta map list.
See the platform-specific instructions for Chrome, Firefox, Android, or iOS.
No note appears after a guess
Learnable Meta notes appear on the results screen after a guess, not while the round is in progress. Confirm that the selected map is listed by Learnable Meta and that the current location has a configured meta.
Mobile layout is difficult to use
Learnable Meta must run in a mobile browser. It does not support the native GeoGuessr app. Tablets generally provide a better experience than phones because GeoGuessr and the hint panel have more screen space.
