Install on iOS and iPadOS

iOS has more limited userscript support than desktop browsers. The following approaches have worked for Learnable Meta community members, but browser and extension updates may affect them.

Safari with Tampermonkey

Tampermonkey for Safari is a paid App Store application.

  1. Install and open Tampermonkey from the App Store.
  2. In iOS Settings, open Safari settings and temporarily disable Block Pop-ups. Re-enable it after you install the userscript.
  3. Allow Tampermonkey to access Safari websites.
  4. In Safari, open the extensions menu and enable Tampermonkey.
  5. Open the Learnable Meta userscript and add it to Tampermonkey as directed by the extension.
  6. Open a new GeoGuessr tab and verify that Learnable Meta is enabled.

On iPad, also make sure Tampermonkey has access to all websites and that Safari’s Hide Distracting Items feature is disabled for GeoGuessr. If the script stops after a page reload, enable Tampermonkey’s automatic reload setting in advanced configuration mode, then toggle the script off and on.

Orion with Violentmonkey

As a free alternative, community members have used Orion Browser with the Violentmonkey extension:

  1. Install Orion Browser from the App Store.
  2. Install Violentmonkey from the Firefox Add-ons catalog inside Orion.
  3. Add the Learnable Meta userscript to Violentmonkey.
  4. Open GeoGuessr in a fresh tab and choose a Learnable Meta map.

If the script does not start, refresh the page or restart the browser before beginning a new game.
